Dietary Journal: Day 1
May 21st 2008 04:45
Well, here begins my dietary journal to see if I can pin point any particular triggers for my rosacea. For two weeks I'm supposed to record everything I eat and notes on how my skin seems to be reacting. I dont have to eliminate anything thank goodness (at least just yet) but just the mere thought of recording all the foods I've eaten for all to see has made me somewhat that little bit more careful on what I put into my mouth. Thats a good thing I suppose.
It's been a couple of weeks since I took my last roaccutane pill, so far, so good. Only slight tingles and redness but nothing too serious. I do feel like I could have a flare up at any moment though.
So here was day 1. (Actually yesterdays )
Coffee with milk no sugar
Wholemeal roll with mayonnaise, processed roast beef and salad. (not a good start to the week but I was out and about and hungry so stopped off at the deli)
Black tea with milk, no sugar
1 poached egg with wholegrain toast and tomato ketchup.
Green Tea
Small bowl salad: spinach leaves, cherry tomatoes, red capsicum, cucumber, mixed together with store bought olive mix from the deli including olives, fetta cheese, and marinated eggplant, No dressing was used but the oil the olive mix came in.
Dinner: T bone steak with mushroom sauce and salad, cucumber, lettuce, red onion, tomato, carrot, unknown salad dressing and chips. One sip of beer.(whoohoo!)
Did I follow advice on my own cleansing and moisturising routine: No
Make Up: Yes, only for a few hours in the evening
Glasses of water: 1
End of day Report:
Tingles and Itching: Slight more than last few days. Seemed to subside towards evening.
Redness: medium (more redness than last few days, towards middle of the day)
Bumps and spots: smooth
Stress: very low
Exercise: very light 20 min walk to and from school
Eyes: clear
