Easy Salmon and Vegetable Bake

Salmon is one of nature’s super foods. Its anti inflammatory has anti allergic properties and is rich in healthy omega 3 EFAs. Seeing as rosacea is an inflammation of the skin condition, incorporating more cold water fish into your diet such as halibut, mackerel, sardines, herrings and salmon into your diet, you should hopefully see some improvement in the condition of your skin. Please keep in mind though eating more of these types of fish is only a small part in managing rosacea. As I’ve said before many, many factors can contribute to red faces and flushing and all people react differently. We all should be aiming to eat at least 2 serves these types of fish per week anyhow, rosacea or no rosacea as part of a healthy balance diet.
I do try to eat it as much as possible, but with a family who despises salmon, it is unfortunately one food that I tend to forget about when deciding what to cook for the family dinner. When we have a “fend for yourself night” I always go for this salmon recipe as it is quick and easy and no thought needs to go into it. I just simply wrap up a piece of fresh salmon in aluminium foil together with any kind of vegetables I feel like (this time it was potato, carrots, broccoli and beans) add a bit of salt and pepper and throw it in the oven until the salmon is flaky, usually about 20 minutes. Depending on the size and preferred tenderness of the vegetables, you may want to lightly steam or boil them first before placing them in the oven.
