Infertility is a common case in daily life, approximately about 10% of couples, don't bear a child after 1 year. There are many factors that contributes to infertility such as male factor (mostly about the sperm), tubal occlusion, ovulation disturbance, etc.
In this article, i'm gonna focus on male factor or male infertility. There are many causes of male infertility. But i divided into simple category: anatomical causes, sperm, and genetics. Anatomical causes such as hypospadia, epispadia, erectile dysfunction, eventhough the man has a good quality of the sperm but it can be secreted correctly. Diet and Sperm
Usual purpose of a married couples is about to have a child. But, less men know about sperm are greatly affected by diet and lifestyle choices. Most men aren't aware that smoking, drinking alcohol, and recreational drug use, all have a devastating effect on sperm health and reducing sperm count.
Additionally, many environmental factors have a hand in lowering sperm count and sperm motility. All these factors may help explain why men's sperm count is steadily declining throughout all industrialized countries. Research indicates that sperm counts have declined as much as 42% just in the last few decades.
An improper diet can mean that your sperm count is low or your sperm are damaged. People who drink alcohol often have lower sperm count. An element in the breakdown of alcohol is even toxic to sperm. Caffeine is another food that has been linked to sperm motility problems and chromosomal abnormalities.
Low antioxidant intake is associated with low reproductive capacity in semen. Spanish research study, published in March, showed that men who eat large amounts of meat and full fat dairy products have lower seminal quality than those who eat more fruit, vegetables and reduced fat dairy products.
